AL CALLUS - "MAGICAL PITCHMAN" Stage, television, parlor, walk-around and street magic have been the focus of Al’s life for many a year. At age 15 he introduced his "Magical Pitchman" act in Times Square and thus was one of the earliest and undoubtedly the youngest street magicians. In high school he rented theaters for his popular, sold-out children’s shows. As president of FAME he followed in the footsteps of George Schindler, Al Goshman and Howie Schwartzman. As the Bob Hope of Army Special Services he performed as the Magical Pitchman hundreds of times for servicemen both in the United States and in Europe as well as in many other venues including television. School Shows came to dominate the next phase of his life until he entered banking and later the ad agency business which demanded all of his attention. Only in the past ten years has his interest in magic been rekindled with close-up performances, teaching and mini-lectures. Having recently seen the wonderful reaction he gets to his "Magical Pitchman" act, we prevailed upon him to bring it to Metro-Magic V.I.P. where we are delighted the be the first to introduce it to the magic fraternity. We are certain you will long remember this fabulous, and downright hilarious, visit to the magic of yesteryear. |
